Ocean City!

We left Williamsburg on Friday morning and headed up highway 13 along the eastern shore of Virginia  and the Chesapeake Bay.  Half way to Maryland we stopped at The GREAT Machipongo Clam Shack in Nassawadox, Virginia.  It was cute little place, the building kind of resembled an old McDonalds.

Steamed Little Neck Clams

We had some delicious Clams, and then headed back on the road again.  We had high expectations for when we arrived in Ocean City- fresh oysters, clams, and tons of Maryland Blue Crabs!  Which are a pain to eat, but worth it in the end!

A few hours later we were in Ocean City Maryland.  Its a beach town, with a board walk kind of similiar to Atlantic City, but a lot cleaner and nicer.  We found a very charming little hotel called the Atlantic right on the boardwalk.  It is the oldest hotel in Ocean City, and is still owed by the same family who bought it in 1920.  It's very old school, but has a nice warm feel to it.  Our room was funny, the sink was outside of the bathroom, in the bedroom, for those of you who remember my old room in my house in Tallahassee, it was just like that!

Kind of looks like a grannys house
